Thomas Suter - connecting leadership with what comes next!
Thomas Suter is the founder, Managing Partner, and co-owner of Viavanta. For nearly 15 years, he has helped companies identify and appoint senior leaders for executive, C-level, and board positions in Switzerland and around the world.
His perspective extends well beyond individual appointments. Thomas is deeply engaged in how leadership is evolving and what it will take to lead successfully in a world increasingly shaped by technology and artificial intelligence. As Global AI Practice Group Leader at Kestria, he explores the impact of AI on leadership, organizations, and decision-making from an international perspective, bringing these insights directly into his work with clients.
Before founding Viavanta in 2016, Thomas led a practice at an established Swiss executive search firm. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles and helped build a start-up. Drawing on his executive search expertise, first-hand leadership experience, and entrepreneurship shapes his approach today: he understands not only what it takes to succeed in a role, but also the business environment in which leaders need to make an impact.
Through Kestria, Thomas is closely connected with executive search and leadership advisory partners in more than 40 countries. Drawing on this international network, he advises clients on executive search and leadership challenges, as well as how AI is changing the way organizations operate and leaders make decisions.
Thomas holds a degree in Business Administration and is a father of two. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the mountains, whether mountain biking, skiing, or snowboarding, with the Engadin being a particular favourite. He also enjoys travelling, good food, and spending time with friends.
